What are the technological requirements to view the online videos?


You may use any PC or Mac that meets the following software and hardware requirements:
Hardware
  • Display resolution of 800 x 600 pixels or greater
  • Windows-compatible sound card
  • Broadband Internet Connection (256 kbps & above).

PC Software
  • Windows 2000, 2003, XP or Vista
  • Windows Media Player version 9.0 or later
  • Adobe Flash Player
  • One of the following browsers:
    • IE 6.0 SP1 or later
    • Firefox 2.0 or later
Macintosh Software
  • Mac OS X version 10.4.8 or later

Will all the videos be available for viewing anytime?


Yes indeed! View them anytime, from anywhere, any number of times. Downloading the videos is forbidden. Further, multiple logins are strictly prohibited. If multiple logins are detected, your account will be suspended.

Will I have access to all videos till the day of the exam?


Yes absolutely!

I am retaking the Level I exam. Do I qualify for any special discounts?


As part of our Passeverance Program, we also offer a 40% discount to all students who are reappearing for the Level I exam.

So I can qualify for the Passeverance Program even if I have never used Élan Guides before?


Yes. The CFA designation is worth striving for. We want to give you all the encouragement we can.

I have already purchased the printed version of your books. Can I get a discount if I want to now also purchase the electronic version?


If you have already purchased any of our books (printed or electronic version) and would like the other version, you are eligible for a 40% discount on the list price.

Do you provide study materials for Levels II and III as well?


Not yet, but we definitely hope to in the future.

Will you be providing study materials for Level II for 2011?


We would like to offer some of our products for Level II candidates in 2011, but we cannot commit to anything until the Learning Outcome Statements are released by CFA Institute. Typically, the new LOS are released in July.

Do you provide tracking numbers once orders are shipped?


Yes. All our orders are delivered either via Fedex or through DHL. Tracking numbers are provided within 24 hours of orders being processed.

You provide discounts to candidates in certain countries. What do I have to do to receive such a discount?


In partnership with member societies and other institutions, we offer a hefty discount to candidates in certain countries. If you would like to receive such a discount, please request you local member society to reply to our partnership proposal.

Do you release pass rates of candidates who have used your materials to study for the Level I exam?


We are members of CFA Institute’s Prep Provider Guidelines Program. The requirements for enrolling this in program prohibit us from publishing customer pass rates.

There are several Prep Providers in the industry. Most of them have been around for much longer and are better-known than Elan Guides. Why should I go with you?
